Good Rap Music
Bahamadia
“Good Rap Music”

Bahamadia returns to the game with her 3rd album. Well it would be an injustice to say she ever left. She’s been grinding overseas for years building her global rep. The album is executive produced by the BB Queen herself, boasts a roster of various producers, giving the listener a variety of sounds and styles. It’s a good reminder that Hip Hop comes in many forms. There’s something for all and it never lacks the Bahamadia style, that got her into the game. Features production by Kev Brown, Vitamin D, and 215 producers: Hezekiah, King Britt, and Panek of Illvibe Collective.

“Babies Makin’ Babies 2: Misery Strikes Back…No More Babies”

Ahhhh, Valentine’s Day! Hallmark & Chocolate factories favorite day of the yr. (off topic: You know over 50% of all chocolate sold in the calendar year, is sold in February!) While others are in pain from being alone or wasting money on a pointless holiday! Good ‘ol ?uest serves us a musical treat for the special occasion!
(Disclaimer: 215hiphop.com does co-sign that Valentine’s Day, is a pointless holiday!!)

Aceyalone & RJD2
“Magnificent City”

Aceyalone=Cali. RJD2=PHILLY! A 215 transport from good ‘ol Ohio, RJ reps the 215 to the fullest. Since RJ’s move to Philly a few yrs. ago his career has risen to what many consider a very successful one (don’t believe us: check out how his fans react at his shows!). On this joined album, RJ holds down 100% of the production & cuts, while Aceyalone holds down 100% of the vocals.

Interview w/R.A. The Rugged Man
by: Justin Rizzio
Conducted in Spring of ‘06

From major labels to the depths of the underground, R.A. The Rugged Man has seen it all. This Long Island mc has gone from being courted by every major label to being blackballed by the entire industry. While most would call it quits, R.A. went on to release countless underground classics. He has worked with everyone from Biggie Smalls and Mobb Deep to producers like Erick Sermon and Trackmasters. Recently, I got a chance to sit down with the most famous unknown rapper to discuss Philly, boxing, and to ask, “R.A., what’s the lesson for today, Rugged Man” ?

*Interview was done in early ’06 *

By: DJ Phillee Blunt

“Our problem with Atlantic is not with the Indians, it’s with the chiefs. The Indians love us, all the little people that really make the company work, they like, “yo, we’ve been waiting to work a record like this” but ya know the people up top are so disconnected with the people on the bottom”

Although Adam 12 and Reef the Lost Cauze may seem like oil and water in some regards, an exclusive 215HipHop.com discussion on coming up as Philadelphia rappers shows not only their like-mindedness as underground emcees, but their mutual respect as artists…
